This program

The certification course in Carpentry provides participants with knowledge and skills that enable them to appreciate the trade as a profession. They will develop and generate proper technical language, as well as the ability to select the best materials for their projects. They will carry out projects while justifying the materials, techniques, tools and accessories they select. The aim is not just to train carpenters, but to form the best carpenters. Our added value is that in addition to learning how to do carpentry, participants can explain what they are offering and doing.

Intended for anyone over the age of fifteen who is interested in learning, perfecting and/or professionalizing this trade.

Course content

  • Technology of wood and the nature of the materials
  • Knowledge and application of basic woodworking techniques
  • Art in creation and the use of joints
  • Common wood finishes
  • Product design, production and exhibition

By the end of the program

Participants will be capable of building furniture out of wood or related materials, with a clear understanding of the techniques involved. They will know how to set up their own workshop as a hobby, or even start up a carpentry business. For those who are looking to a career in architecture, design, construction or interior decorating, their knowledge of carpentry will serve as a valuable complement for their professional undertakings.
